She released several singles, toured the Netherlands and Belgium with the Poeziebus (2017) and worked on her first solo theater show (Up North Lab & Noordstaat, 2019), where she combined singing, poetry and storytelling. During and after her studies at Minerva Academy for Pop Culture, she focused on spoken word poetry, music and talent development and was part of the Poetry Circle, among other things. Since May 2019 you can read three of his poems in the anthology 'Hardop - Spoken Word in Nederland'.Ĭissy Joan (1985), host and curator of Let's Get Lyrical, is active in the cultural sector in the fields of performance art, visual arts and heritage. Internationally he traveled for poetry and music to India, Tanzania, South Africa, Germany, Italy, England and Belgium. On stage he weaves music and poetry into a raw form of expression brimming with positivity. UNOM is part of the first "Poetry Circle Nowhere" a national writing and performance art group, of which he is now a workshop teacher.
