WB is only focusing it's marketing efforts this year on the new Batman title and the new Lego game that has toy to life characters ignoring the rest of their output.

Most major developers/publishers who produce more than 5 games a year don't promote all their games.Īt the end of this year Ubisoft will have only promoted Assassins Creed, Watch Dogs and Just Dance, while ignoring the rest of their releases (though they aren't worth naming).ĮA is only focusing their marketing on EA sports line on PS4 and Xbox One, Battle Front, and I think one other gaming ignoring the rest of their output. Maybe it was just too much change all at once.
#MARIO KART 7 3DS BUNDLE SERIES#
Plenty of potential out there, but to get the general community hyped again, I feel there needs to be something more than what has been perceived as a slightly under par series of "spin-off" games.

well, I'm missing that one entirely as it still has no appeal for me.Ĭould really do with some exciting news in the form of the promised Direct. Chibi Robo is sitting in the box waiting and I'm sure I'll enjoy it as a solid platformer. HHD is alright, but a bit repetitive and lacking in challenge so I'm not overly impressed with that, despite its AC charm. I'm enjoying Tri Force Heroes (single player, mostly). They seem to be viewed as just a little better than "acceptable", merely "fair to good". The games are not entirely bad, but neither are they generally perceived to be "epic" or even "very good". Many of the new releases have a backlash of disappointment - Happy Home Designer, Amiibo Festival, Tri Force Heroes, Chibi Robo, Federation Force.

Seems like Nintendo is experimenting with their "new directions" policy a little too much for most. Please read our FTC Disclosure for more information. The cute little robot can't quite clean up on 3DS. Sadly, Chibi-Robo isn't in on the action, and barring the unlikely event of huge sales results in North America it appears the franchise is in danger. It's nice to see a selection of the finest Wii U and 3DS games holding a presence in the top 40. One place further back and with a climb of seven places is Mario Kart 8 in 26th, while Splatoon has re-entered the charts in 37th place. In the all format charts Super Mario Maker is 23rd (up one place), with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer just two behind in 25th. There is a good reason for this, though, as the game's 2DS bundles had a heavy discount across various retailers - a system and the game seem to have been going for around £50-60.Įlsewhere some of the usual contenders are doing fairly well by virtue of being recent releases and perhaps also via hardware bundles. In happier news Mario Kart 7 has made a surprising appearance way up in 14th place in the all format charts (19th single format), which is an increase of 898% over its previous week's sales. It's a pretty grim outcome for a franchise apparently being given one final chance to shine, though we feel obliged to point out that if the Official Nintendo UK store won't even advertise it on its front page (at the time of writing, and this has been the case since launch day) then it clearly has no significant support. Not only is it nowhere to be seen in the top 40, but it's down in 7th position in the 3DS charts below games such as New Super Mario Bros.
#MARIO KART 7 3DS BUNDLE ZIP#
Let's get the bad news out of the way - Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash appears to have tanked at launch in the UK. That's hardly surprising, but the overall Nintendo results have prompted us to raise our eyebrows. The UK chart results are out and, yes, Call of Duty: Black Ops III is easily number one.
